Pottery

Apparently I have started to collect pottery. Sometimes I buy pieces that are unmarked. I'm going to post pictures of pottery that I have brought for the last month that I know nothing about. These could be walmart pieces for all I know.  Please let me know if you recognize the makers of any of the pottery.

  1. Wow, I can see why you picked these up. No idea of the makers but very attractive. My fave is the bottom one. Great finds.

    1. Thanks Marci. I've got to do more research to see who they are made by.

  3. Hi, I can help you with a couple of IDs. The last one seems to be a Ken Edwards piece. It should have the initials KE, or El Palomar on them. If not, it is definitely Tonala pottery from Mexico. It sells very well in my store.

The first piece is a figurine made in the 1970s in Japan. I find them every so often and I always pick them up. They also sell well.

No idea on the other two. Good luck

    1. Thanks Mid Mod Mom. I was thinking Ken Edwards but I don't see initials. As for the first picture I have seen these on blogs in the past so I picked the piece up. Now that I own one I can't remember who's blog it was on. Thanks for the help.

  4. Hi there, thank you for stopping by my blog, I'm glad you've been a loyal reader!

You have a great eye for vintage pottery, you did quite well. :) I especially love the last piece. If you're on twitter you should check out the #ThriftBreak crew, they're very knowledgeable about vintage ceramics and pottery.
